Job Description: Tableau Developer
Key Responsibilities
As a Tableau Developer, you will own the full lifecycle of business intelligence solutions. Your day-to-day activities include designing and building interactive dashboards and reports that translate raw data into compelling visual narratives. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, finance teams, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that address their analytical needs. You will optimize existing dashboards for performance and user experience, troubleshoot data issues, and provide training and support to end users. Additionally, you will write and refine SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. You will also document your work thoroughly and maintain best practices for version control and development standards.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have demonstrated expertise in Tableau, with a minimum of three years of professional experience building production-grade dashboards and visualizations. You must possess advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and work with multiple database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or cloud platforms. A solid understanding of financial concepts is essential you should be comfortable working with financial metrics, basic accounting principles, risk management frameworks, and regulatory reporting requirements commonly encountered in banking. Practical experience with Power BI is a bonus. Strong communication skills are critical, as you will translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and collaborate with teams across the organization.
