The Position:
Position Title: SAP BRIM Architect (SOM)
Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Middletown, PA
Duration: 24+ Month Project

Note: Hybrid work environment is expected to be 1-week per month on-site in Middletown PA, varying with project needs.  In addition to the PA ePATCH background check, PTC requires a National Criminal Background Check prior to engagement start.

We are seeking an experienced SAP BRIM Architect (SOM) to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) solutions for a high-volume, consumption-based billing and revenue management program.  This role owns the SAP S/4HANA Subscription Order Management architecture and supports end-to-end architecture across SAP S/4HANA Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging, Convergent Mediation, and Financial Contract Accounting (FICA), and works closely with business stakeholders, functional analysts, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver a compliant, scalable, and well-integrated billing ecosystem.

Our SAP BRIM Architect (SOM) will perform the following duties;
- Architect, design, implement, and test changes to SAP BRIM and related/ancillary technologies, including SAP S/4HANA Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Charging, Financial Contract Accounting, Sales & Distribution, and Materials Management, ensuring efficient operation with Convergent Mediation and Convergent Charging to meet overall client needs; Primary responsibility will be on Subscription Order Management.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, partnering with business and functional analysts to ensure processes, features, and user stories are captured correctly and receive business approval.
- Provide implementation services to evaluate, design, and configure end-to-end business processes for high-volume, consumption-based billing and revenue management models built on SAP BRIM.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP BRIM with other systems, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, a separate SAP ERP instance, and a payment gateway for real-time payment processing from CRM.
- Participate in developing the data model and integrations for the entire system, working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM experts to minimize data replication and ensure data integrity.
- Ensure systems are designed and built to be PCI and SOC 1/SOC 2 compliant.
- Configure and customize SAP BRIM modules — Subscription Order Management, Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, and Financial Contract Accounting — to meet the organization’s specific billing, revenue management, and subscription management requirements.
- Lead SAP teams’ collaboration with the data migration team:
- - Ensuring target mappings are accurately captured.
- - Successfully performing data migration and cutover for extremely high data volumes.
- - Minimizing downtime by performing delta loads.
- - Designing capabilities that allow customers to seamlessly dispute closed and migrated transactions with no additional work for business staff.
- Recommend appropriate use of FIORI to create an intuitive experience for accountants and other SAP users performing daily duties.
- Document process designs and technological solutions per SAP best practices, minimizing customizations and customizing only when absolutely required.
- Document features, user stories, configuration, and development tasks in Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Write functional specifications where required and work with the technical team to review technical specifications.
- Write thorough functional test cases, perform functional testing, and capture results.
- Review System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and results for completeness; participate in testing activities.

The Skills and Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience architecting and implementing SAP BRIM, including Subscription Order Management, Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, Convergent Mediation, and Financial Contract Accounting
- Strong background in high-volume, consumption-based billing and revenue management models
- Experience integrating SAP BRIM with third-party systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, external SAP ERP instances, and payment gateways is a plus
- Working knowledge of PCI and SOC 1/SOC 2 compliance requirements as they apply to billing and financial systems
- Experience with large-scale data migration and cutover planning, including delta load strategies for minimal downtime
