Experience Required BI Architect with hands on design and development experience in SAP BO WEBI and Crystal report, and Power BI Experience of Reports Migration from SAP BO to Power BI Define and document the end-to-end migration strategy for transitioning Business Objects reports to Power BI. Assess existing BI landscape and identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans. Design scalable and secure Power BI architecture, including datasets, dataflows, gateways, and workspaces. Establish best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and governance. Comprehensive knowledge of data design, data modeling data management and data visualization Experience in creating data rich dashboards writing DAX expressions Good to have skills Preferred - Additional programming experience: Python, R, Report rationalization experience Strong command over SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance optimization Knowledge of star schema, snowflake schema, and semantic modeling for BI solutions. Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and managing user roles.
Roles & Responsibilities Lead technical teams through the migration process, ensuring adherence to standards and timelines. Work closely with business users, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Create migration playbooks, technical documentation, and user guides. Provide guidance on converting Business Objects WEBI, Crystal reports logic and visualizations into Power BI equivalents. Integrate Power BI with enterprise data sources (SQL Server, Data Warehouse, Cloud platforms). Implement automated refresh schedules and deploy pipelines for reports and dashboards. Optimize Power BI reports for speed and scalability. Validate migrated reports for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with business requirements. Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage user roles and permissions. Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and
regulatory standards. Stay updated on BI trends and Power BI enhancements. Recommend improvements to reporting processes and architecture for long-term scalability.
Generic Managerial Skills Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders. Skilled in gathering requirements and aligning solutions with business objectives. Preferred - Strong experience managing onshore-offshore models, client communication, and requirement gathering Preferred - Proven ability to interact with business stakeholders, gather reporting requirements, and deliver scalable BI solutions. Strong interpersonal skills to work with Offshore data engineers and analysts Provide inputs to create clear technical documentation, migration playbooks, and training materials
