Principal AI Architect

Introduction

This role involves defining the enterprise AI strategy and architecture, selecting AI platforms, and providing technical leadership to align AI initiatives with long-term digital and analytics goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment and selection of AI platforms and supporting components
• Identify business processes suitable for AI enablement
• Design end-to-end solution architectures for AI initiatives
• Provide hands-on technical support for AI development
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams
• Establish AI best practices and support change management
• Offer strategic insights and recommendations to leadership
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and planning sessions
• Deliver architectural documentation and artifacts

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software development with AI architecture focus
• Proven experience designing distributed, scalable systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in Python
• Mandatory healthcare domain experience, preferably in the Payer domain
• 1-2 years of hands-on GenAI experience on Azure
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation
• Strong communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience with regulated environments (HIPAA compliance)
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
• Experience influencing architecture decisions at an enterprise level
