QA Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA Lead in Maryland Heights, MO.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Engineering Leadership:
* Lead testing efforts from planning through execution and delivery
* Ensure high standards for quality, defect management, and testing outcomes
* Mentor and guide a team of Quality Engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth
* Promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the team
* Proactively identify risks, challenges, and opportunities for process enhancement
* Communicate project status, timelines, blockers, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders

Testing & Quality Assurance:
*- Develop and execute testing strategies for new functionality and application enhancements
* Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
* Analyze defects, investigate root causes, and drive resolution efforts
* Support quality initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability
* Recommend and implement best practices across testing processes and methodologies

Automation & Innovation:
* Drive test automation efforts and identify opportunities to expand automation coverage
* Leverage modern technologies and emerging industry practices to improve testing effectiveness
* Continuously evaluate tools, processes, and approaches that enhance software quality and team productivity

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing
* Experience leading QA or Quality Engineering teams, including offshore resources
* Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
* Hands-on experience with test automation
* Experience with: Octane; SQL; Postman; Swagger; Splunk and/or Datadog
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear status updates, identify risks, and escalate issues appropriately
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong backend testing experience
* Experience with Java and/or Python
* CI/CD knowledge and experience working alongside development teams
* Telecommunications industry experience
* Experience working in large enterprise environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
