Summary

Role: SAP BW Tester
Location: Phoenix, AZ – Onsite
Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Tester to support data warehouse and reporting validation activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing SAP BW reports and validating data across SAP BW/HANA environments, along with strong knowledge of SAP reporting tools and software testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional and data validation testing for SAP BW reports, queries, and reporting outputs.

  • Develop and execute test scenarios and test cases to verify data accuracy, report functionality, calculations, filters, and business requirements.

  • Work extensively with SAP BEx Analyzer and BEx Query Designer for report execution, query validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Validate data extraction, transformation, and reporting results across SAP BW and SAP HANA environments.

  • Identify, document, and track defects, discrepancies, and data-quality issues through resolution.

  • Perform regression, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing as required.

  • Analyze reporting issues and collaborate with SAP functional, technical, and business teams to determine root causes.

  • Ensure test results are properly documented and provide clear status updates to project stakeholders.

  • Participate in requirements reviews and translate business requirements into effective testing scenarios.

  • Support test planning, execution, defect management, and overall quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW testing and report validation.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP BEx Analyzer and BEx Query Designer.

  • Experience working with SAP BW and SAP HANA environments.

  • Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test case development, execution, defect tracking, regression testing, and data validation.

  • Ability to troubleshoot reporting and data discrepancies and communicate findings effectively.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ for the duration of the engagement.
