Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Meraki, network security operations, firewall management, centralized policy administration, and network monitoring.
This role will be responsible for maintaining network reliability, enhancing security posture, supporting hybrid environments, and driving operational excellence through automation and proactive monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across distributed environments.
Manage Layer 3 routing, firewall operations, and network security using Palo Alto Networks solutions.
Support Layer 2 switching environments utilizing Cisco Meraki technologies.
Configure and maintain routing protocols, VLANs, NAT, VPNs, and traffic management policies.
Troubleshoot complex networking issues across LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures.
Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, threat prevention, application controls, and user-based access controls.
Manage Panorama centralized administration for policy management, configuration consistency, and operational governance.
Implement network segmentation strategies and security best practices aligned with Zero Trust principles.
Monitor network performance, availability, and security events using centralized logging and analytics platforms.
Develop dashboards, reports, alerts, and operational metrics to support security and compliance requirements.
Support cloud connectivity, secure tunnels, remote access solutions, and hybrid networking environments.
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams to implement enterprise network solutions.
Automate network administration tasks through scripting and API-based integrations.
Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization initiatives.
Maintain network diagrams, operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering and network security.
Strong hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security technologies.
Experience administering Cisco Meraki switching and enterprise networking environments.
Hands-on experience with Panorama centralized management.
Experience with network monitoring, logging, and security analytics platforms.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and enterprise network architecture.
Experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
Expertise in VLAN design, NAT, network segmentation, and VPN technologies.
Knowledge of IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, and secure remote connectivity solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex network environments.
Experience supporting highly available and mission-critical network infrastructures.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Zero Trust networking architectures.
Knowledge of cloud networking concepts across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with network automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE, and modern secure connectivity solutions.
Experience with infrastructure automation and API-driven network management.
Relevant industry certifications in networking, security, or cloud technologies.
