Location/Division Specific Information:
The Mount Prospect Illinois Thermo Fisher site is a 24/7 facility dedicated to the packaging, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals. With storage temperatures ranging from room temperature to frozen.
Responsibilities:
- Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision of the 4 I's: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and involvement
- Performs thorough preventative maintenance of Production equipment, including cleaning, part replacement, and general P.M. as recommended by the equipment manufacturer
- Tracks equipment through the Maintenance support software system
- Coordinates/Schedules Equipment PMs with Engineering Coordination specialist and Maintenance Planner/Scheduler
- Provides support to Engineering team for equipment overhaul program.
- Maintains accurate records and coordinates filing with Engineering coordination specialist
- Maintains accurate level of inventory quantities and components in order to complete preventative maintenance within scheduling timelines
- Produces quality repairs and in-depth preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
- Completes Change control and testing forms, as needed by validation committee
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
- Off hours coverage, as necessary
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience in equipment repair and preventative maintenance
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Microsoft Word experience required
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and accurately prioritize multiple tasks
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Required to work in refrigerated and frozen storage areas, outdoors, inclement weather.
Required to climb ladders, use man lifts, power tools wear PPE.

Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $25.58-$38.37.
