Summary:
We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to help shape the next generation of AI-enabled enterprise workflows and applications. In this role, you will design experiences that augment human decision-making, streamline complex operational processes, and responsibly integrate AI into everyday ways of working. This is not a traditional “UI-only” role. You will operate at the intersection of user experience, systems thinking, and emerging technology, translating complex technical capabilities (AI, automation, agents, data) into intuitive, trusted, and scalable enterprise experiences. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business partners to design solutions used by internal teams at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Design AI-Augmented Experiences
- Design end-to-end user experiences for AI-enabled workflows, including copilots, assistants, automation tools, dashboards, and decision-support systems.
- Translate complex AI behaviors (recommendations, predictions, confidence, uncertainty, human-in-the-loop controls) into clear, usable interactions.
- Define interaction patterns for trust, explainability, transparency, and user control in AI-driven systems.
- Lead UX Across Complex Systems
- Own UX from problem framing through delivery, including discovery, concepting, prototyping, validation, and iteration.
- Create artifacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, system diagrams, interaction models, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Design for enterprise constraints: scale, security, role-based access, compliance, performance, and legacy system integration.
- Partner Deeply with Product & Engineering
- Collaborate closely with product managers and key stakeholders to shape problem statements, success metrics, and roadmap priorities.
- Partner with engineers early to ensure designs are technically feasible, scalable, and implementation-ready.
- Work alongside data and AI teams to align UX with model capabilities and limitations.
- Champion User-Centered Design
- Plan and conduct user research (interviews, usability testing, workflow analysis) with internal enterprise users.
- Synthesize insights into actionable design recommendations.
- Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals and technical realities.
- Contribute to Design Systems & Standards
- Extend and evolve enterprise design systems to support AI-specific patterns (e.g., prompts, feedback loops, confidence indicators).
- Establish UX guidelines and best practices for AI-enabled products.
- Help raise the overall UX maturity across the organization.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or interaction design.
- Proven experience designing complex, data-rich, or workflow-heavy applications (enterprise, B2B, internal tools).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, not just visual polish.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product teams in agile environments.
- AI & Systems Thinking
- Experience designing for AI-powered or automation-driven products (copilots, recommendations, intelligent workflows, decision support).
- Ability to reason about systems, trade-offs, edge cases, and failure modes.
- Comfort designing in ambiguous problem spaces where requirements evolve.
- Craft & Communication
- Strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual design skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate design rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable facilitating workshops, critiques, and cross-functional discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing for:
- AI agents, copilots, or automation platforms
- Developer tools or internal enterprise platforms
- Regulated or security-sensitive environments
- Familiarity with AI concepts such as LLMs, human-in-the-loop systems, and model limitations (no need to be a data scientist).
- Experience contributing to or scaling design systems.
Required Education
BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
