- Proven ability to conduct basic QA Performance testing, including understanding key metrics and reporting initial findings, is essential.
- Strong foundational understanding of Customer Support processes and the ability to translate user feedback into actionable test scenarios is mandatory.
- A comprehensive understanding of basic Network Protocols and their application in testing network device functionality is a core requirement.
- Expertise in performing basic Network Testing procedures, including connectivity and data integrity checks, is critically important.
- A solid grasp of Mobility concepts and the ability to apply basic mobile testing techniques across various platforms is indispensable.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies for device, network, and server QA, ensuring robust coverage and quality.
- Lead the end-to-end testing of mobile devices, network configurations, and server functionalities to validate operational efficiency and capability.
- Develop and maintain detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios for various testing phases, including functional, regression, and performance.
- Analyze complex technical issues identified during testing, providing in-depth root cause analysis and actionable feedback to development teams.
- Drive the configuration and maintenance of intricate test environments, ensuring their readiness and stability for diverse testing cycles.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance overall QA efficiency and product quality.
- Implement rigorous consistency checks across multiple device types, operating systems, and network protocols to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Manage the lifecycle of identified defects, including logging, tracking, and verifying resolutions within the designated bug tracking system.
- Conduct thorough peer reviews of technical designs, code implementations, and test artifacts to uphold high-quality standards.
- Contribute to the architectural discussions related to test automation frameworks and infrastructure improvements.
- Mentor junior QA engineers on best practices, complex testing techniques, and problem-solving approaches.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, development, and operations teams to align on quality goals and release criteria.
- Generate comprehensive and insightful test reports, status updates, and release documentation for all relevant stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor''s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Basking Ridge, NJ to be $120,000 to $130,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
