Job DescriptionThe Cyber Resiliency and Recovery Lead consultant is responsible for design and execution of an independent validation capability that proves critical cyber recovery and resiliency capabilities are ready on demand and will work when we need them most. The Lead consultant drives holistic validation and assurance across multiple cyber resiliency related initiatives, and partners closely with leaders across Technology, Security, Operations, 1st and 2nd line Risk to deliver outcomes that are aligned with enterprise strategy. This role independently validates that technical designs are sound, operationally executable, and adequately supporting ransomware resilience objectives.
1. Design & Operationalize the Assurance Framework- Develop fit-for-purpose validation criteria for cyber recovery capabilities
- Establish consistent processes and drive continuous improvements in cyber recovery readiness assurance.
- Create measurable validation success indicators (time, integrity, operability, decision readiness)
- Establish measurable Recovery Readiness Assurance framework
- Perform detailed technical analysis, review success criteria for individual components, known limitations and plan necessary validation and testing to drive recovery confidence
2. Validate Technical Recovery Capabilities- Perform detailed technical analysis, review assumptions, limitations, etc. to plan validations and testing.
- Independently validate success criteria for key components, 1st line testing results
- Evaluate backup integrity, restoration feasibility, data reconciliation approaches
- Identify hidden dependencies and operational failure points
3. Execute Recovery Readiness Validations and Testing- Lead structured recovery simulations and targeted validation exercises
- Design and perform scenario-based validations (ransomware, data corruption, data reconciliation, etc.)
- Validate restoration sequencing, decision triggers, and execution feasibility
- Document evidence and readiness outcomes
- Drive insights from validations and testing into actionable remediation
- Serve as a trusted advisor, not an auditor
Qualifications5-7 years' experience in the areas of Cyber resiliency, DR engineering, Infrastructure recovery, Cyber Recovery programs, Advanced control design and operating effectiveness testing demonstrating following competencies
Technical - Strong understanding of:
- Infrastructure builds and Isolated recovery
- Backup and restore architectures
- Cloud & hybrid infrastructure recovery (AWS/Azure/on-prem)
- Ransomware attack lifecycle and containment considerations
- Assurance driven assessments
- Experience validating recoverability of systems, not just availability
Recovery & Resilience Expertise- Knowledge of:
- Technology Recovery & Business Continuity integration
- Data Integrity, Data Reconciliation validations
- Dependency mapping (business functions applications infrastructure)
- Experience conducting tabletops, simulations, or technical validation exercises
Analytical & Structured Thinking- Ability to translate complex technical environments into:
- Clear validation criteria
- Testable outcomes
- Evidence-based conclusions
- Strong documentation and reporting capability
What this role is NOT - This is not control testing or audit or purely governance documentation. This role is primarily focused on technology recovery readiness validation.

CompensationCompensation offered for this role is 90,700.00 - 153,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
