Network Security DevOps Engineer Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Security DevOps Engineer to design, engineer, and manage the enterprise network security posture for a large-scale global IT organization. In this role, you will ensure that network infrastructure complies with corporate security standards while defending against evolving cyber threats.

This position combines network security engineering with DevOps-driven automation, requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and global operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage network security technologies and services across data centers, corporate offices, cloud, and edge environments.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend industry best practices and emerging network security technologies.
  • Operate and maintain network security appliances (Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper), including upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Build and manage network security infrastructure using DevOps practices and automation tools.
  • Contribute to a Zero-Ops automation vision by developing solutions that eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Support security operations activities, including monitoring, threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Assess security advisories and vulnerabilities, providing timely mitigation recommendations.
  • Participate in ad-hoc vulnerability assessments and incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, project teams, and internal customers.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and processes for ongoing support.
  • Participate in a global follow-the-sun on-call rotation.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on network security experience.
  • Experience with security platforms such as:
    • Cisco ASA (CSM), FTD (FMC)
    • Fortinet FortiGate (FortiManager)
    • Juniper SRX (Junos Space)
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, ACLs.
  • Familiarity with core security technologies: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, authentication, encryption, vulnerability management, incident response.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewall virtualization, VPNs, NAT, DNS, IPS/IDS.
  • Preferred certifications:
    • Cisco (CCNA/CCNP Security)
    • Fortinet (FCA/FCSS/NSE)
    • CISSP, GIAC (nice to have)
Automation & DevOps Experience
  • Highly preferred experience with:
    • GitHub
    • Terraform
    • Ansible
    • Python
    • REST APIs
    • Jenkins
    • Jinja2
    • YAML
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles is a plus.
Cloud Experience
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure network security services, including connectivity, routing, and cloud-native security controls.
