Oracle EBS DBA

Job Title: Oracle Applications EBS DBA (Oracle EBS DBA)

Location : Beachwood, OH 44122

Duration : 6 Months

Job Summary: The Oracle Applications DBA will provide project and production support for Oracle Database and Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, R12.1 and R12.2 environments. This role is responsible for administration, patching, cloning, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, integrations and support of multi-node environments including RAC, ASM and Data Guard while ensuring high availability and system reliability.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Excellent understanding of Oracle database and Oracle Applications 11i and R12/R12.2 concepts, architecture, related utilities and tools

Maintain and administer Oracle applications multi-node environments

Day-to-day Oracle database and Oracle Applications administration and troubleshooting

Maintaining and patching Oracle Applications using adpatch and adop

Performance diagnostics and tuning for Oracle databases and Oracle Applications

Performance diagnostics and tuning of concurrent programs

Administration of users and responsibility assignments

Cloning of Oracle Applications instances

Manage and maintain the concurrent managers

Maintain and administer the WebLogic components for R12.2 EBiz

Administer, manage and maintain the Oracle Workflow processes

Experience in RAC, ASM and Standby/Data Guard databases

Experience in Oracle RDBMS patching PSU/CPU/Rollup patches etc.

Experience in Oracle database backup and recovery tasks

Maintaining strong database and applications level security

Troubleshooting Oracle database errors

Strong knowledge of RMAN and OEM Grid control

Sound knowledge of Linux and UNIX operating systems

Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle

Able to work independently with minimum supervision

Good documentation, presentation and communication skills

Good to Have Skills

Oracle Database administration and Oracle applications related certification

Understanding of WebLogic, OAM, SSO, OID, Golden Gate SOX related knowledge

Experience in leading a database administration project and team

OCI knowledge

RAC knowledge

SQL/PLSQL development experience is added plus

Work with other team members for support or project work and to ensure project deadlines are met

Conduct research and development to improve knowledge on OCI and Oracle applications DBA

Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and progress
