Job Title:-Technical Project Manager
Location:-Hybrid, Albany NY
Duration:-12 months+
Seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to support a Health & Human Services (HHS) modernization program. This role leads project planning, schedule management, and cross functional coordination, working closely with the Senior Program Manager. Strong MS Project skills, SDLC understanding, and technical fluency are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Build, manage, and maintain the full project schedule in Microsoft Project, including dependencies, critical path, milestones, and resources.
• Oversee daily project execution across technical, business, and vendor teams.
• Apply SDLC processes (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) to manage requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
• Communicate technical concepts and system impacts clearly to all stakeholders.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, scope changes, and project governance activities.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and executive level updates.
• Partner closely with the Senior Program Manager to ensure alignment on timelines, priorities, and strategy.
Required Qualifications
• 7–10+ years of technical project management experience,
• Expert proficiency with MS Project schedule creation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and project governance.
• Ability to interpret technical information and work effectively with senior leaders and diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications: PMP, PMI ACP, CSM, PRINCE2, or similar.
• Experience with one or more modernization (legacy replacement) and / or government/HHS projects.
