Mainframe Automation Engineer

• Deep knowledge of IBM System Automation for z/OS (SA z/OS) and CA OPS/MVS
• Experience in migration projects between CA OPS/MVS and IBM SA z/OS
• Proficiency in REXX, CLIST, and Netview PIPE programming
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining z/OS systems

• Develop and deploy automated solutions, including automated IPLs, application recovery, and auto ticket generation
• Support automation applications during upgrades, z/OS updates, data center consolidations, and CPU refreshes
• Maintain and enhance inherited client automation code
• Implement infrastructure critical event management, remote console access, and paging
• Transform client automation to standard toolsets across multiple environments
• Participate in feasibility studies and recommend mainframe automation solutions
• Provide 24/7 on-call automation support on a rotational basis
• Collaborate with teams and clients to troubleshoot, perform RCA, and resolve issues efficiently
