Roles/Responsibilities:
System Implementation & Configuration
- Lead the implementation of Odyssey version upgrades, new modules, and major feature rollouts
- Design and configure Odyssey workflows, security roles, configuration packages, and business rules aligned with court operations
- Architect solutions using extensive Odyssey Configuration Packages and custom integration code
- Map complex court business processes to Odyssey capabilities to identify automation and optimization opportunities
- Collaborate with Tyler Technologies and Clark County IT on testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and long-term architecture decisions
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, deployment scripts, release documentation, and issue logs
- Provide training and mentorship to the Development Team on Odyssey configuration, integrations, and best practices
Automation Development
- Design and implement advanced automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, and platform-native tools
- Build and maintain Odyssey workflow automations to reduce manual entry and operational risk
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and templates for long-term sustainability
- Produce clear automation and integration mapping documentation tied directly to Odyssey functionality
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions to upskill internal staff
Integration & Data Architecture
- Architect and develop enterprise integrations between Odyssey and third-party systems (law enforcement, state agencies, document management, FOIA systems, etc.)
- Design and maintain middleware and integration platforms including Azure Integration Services, BizTalk, RabbitMQ, IMS, or equivalent
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Odyssey APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), XML, JSON, and judicial data exchanges
- Develop and optimize SQL Server stored procedures supporting integrations, batch processing, and automation
- Lead data conversion, migration, validation, and reconciliation efforts
- Mentor the Development Team on integration architecture, patterns, and best practices
Reporting & Analytics
- Design SQL-based data models and stored procedures supporting SSRS and Power BI
- Develop automated reporting for USJR, CourTools, AOC/state reporting, and internal metrics
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and validation for leadership reporting
- Provide training and guidance on reporting tools and data interpretation
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide advanced Tier-3 technical support for Odyssey issues escalated from LVJC IT or operations
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to integrations, APIs, automation, and data pipelines
- Partner with County IT on infrastructure, security, and database performance issues
- Act as a technical escalation point and advisor for the Development Team
Collaboration, Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Translate court business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Develop system diagrams, data flow diagrams, ERDs, and integration mappings
- Produce developer-level documentation, runbooks, and architecture standards
- Lead training and cross-training initiatives to ensure long-term sustainability
- Contribute to LVJC's IT modernization roadmap and integration strategy
Modernization Contributions
- Deliver modernization initiatives tied to LVJC's roadmap, including:
- Proof-of-concept automations
- Integration pilots
- Architecture modernization efforts
- Identify and document continuous improvement opportunities with measurable business impact
- Maintain up-to-date integration and architecture documentation
Daily /Weekly expectations:
- Participate in LVJC IT team stand-ups and project meetings to provide status updates.
- Work with business analysts, developers, and Tyler Technologies on active projects or upgrades.
- Develop and test new automations, workflows, or stored procedures for upcoming releases.
- Collaborate with court divisions to understand pain points and identify opportunities for automation.
- Perform code reviews and validate integrations across test and production environments.
- Provide input into IT modernization initiatives, backlog refinement, and upcoming sprint planning.
Mandatory Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Minimum six (6) years of direct Tyler Technologies case management experience
- Minimum six (6) years of judicial or court system experience in an Integration Architect, Developer, or Technical Lead role
- 5 10 years of experience in system integration, middleware, or application architecture
- Extensive hands-on experience with Odyssey APIs, web services, and configuration packages
- Strong expertise in Azure integration tools and/or BizTalk
- Advanced SQL Server skills (stored procedures, performance tuning, batch processing)
- Proven experience designing secure, reliable enterprise integrations
Desirable Skills:
- Expert-level Odyssey experience (implementing Tyler modueles, configuration, integrations, APIs, reporting)
- Prior experience in court, justice, or government IT environments
- Experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, API Management)
- Deep familiarity with justice partner integrations (DA, DMV, warrants, jail booking, pre-trial, collections)
- Strong understanding of CJIS, NPRA, data governance, and security standards
- Ability to pass a stringent criminal background check'
- Bachelor's degree in IT/IS, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Direct experience with Tyler Odyssey or other court CMS (e.g., eCourt, CourtView).
- Pass a stringent criminal background check
- Proficiency with APIs (REST/SOAP), XML, JSON, ECF standards.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).

- Experience configuring, supporting, or implementing large-scale enterprise applications; direct exposure to Tyler Technologies' Odyssey or similar case management systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of justice or court operations and how technology supports case processing workflows.
- System Integration
- Practical experience integrating multiple systems through APIs, web services, or middleware (e.g., BizTalk, RabbitMQ, IMS).
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining data exchanges between government agencies or third-party partners.
- Database & Reporting
- Strong background in relational databases (SQL Server preferred), including writing queries, stored procedures, and optimizing performance.
- Experience supporting reporting and analytics platforms (SSRS, Power BI) and ensuring data quality for decision-making.

- Experience participating in system upgrades, feature rollouts, or migrations, including requirements gathering, testing, and production deployment.
