Position Overview

We are seeking a strong, hands-on MuleSoft Integration Engineer with 5+ years of dedicated API and application integration experience to support an urgent initiative for a major Healthcare client.

In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise integration solutions and RESTful APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. You will play a pivotal role in connecting complex healthcare systems, ensuring seamless data flow, high system availability, and compliance with healthcare data standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • API & Integration Development: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration flows using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, Mule Runtime, API Manager, Exchange).

  • Healthcare Systems Integration: Connect disparate healthcare applications, legacy databases, and third-party systems to streamline operational and clinical workflows.

  • Data Transformation & Mapping: Implement complex data transformations, data mappings, and business logic using DataWeave 2.0.

  • API Lifecycle & Governance: Manage the full API lifecycle, including contract-first design (RAML/OAS), API security policies (OAuth 2.0, JWT), rate limiting, and governance standards.

  • Testing & Deployment: Write automated unit tests using MUnit, participate in CI/CD pipeline deployments, and troubleshoot integration issues across Dev, QA, and Production environments.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business analysts, solution architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical integration specifications.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Experience Floor: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-lifecycle API and application integration engineering.

  • MuleSoft Expertise: Deep, hands-on proficiency with Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.0, MUnit, API Manager, and CloudHub/On-Prem deployments.

  • API Design & Protocols: Expert knowledge of RESTful API design, RAML/OAS specifications, SOAP web services, JSON, XML, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.

  • Industry Domain: Proven experience working within the Healthcare domain (familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, HL7, or FHIR data standards is strongly preferred).

  • Database & Messaging: Working knowledge of SQL/Relational Databases and asynchronous messaging queues (Anypoint MQ, JMS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ).

  • Work Authorization: (Mandatory due to client compliance).
