WHAT YOU'LL DOYou will develop and maintain platform-level software that supports ISR and UAS systems. You will build and sustain deployable system images and runtime environments, bundling operating system components, middleware, and platform services into validated volumes used across development and test environments.
You will work closely with software, systems, and security teams to deliver reliable and repeatable infrastructure software.

You will work on system configuration, service integration, and image build workflows and collaborate with teams responsible for application software, integration, and test.

You will help reduce integration risk, improve system reliability, and enable consistent deployment across lab and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain deployable system images and platform environments
- Integrate middleware and system services into packaged runtime volumes
- Support configuration management and system initialization processes
- Develop and maintain scripts and tooling to support image creation and validation
- Support integration and deployment activities in lab and test environments
- Participate in peer reviews and technical discussions

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
- Experience in C++, Bash shell, or Python
- Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat preferred)
- Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 6 years to be considered.
Desired skills- Experience with Linux or RTOS and associated development toolchains
- Experience building and debugging applications in Linux based development environments
- Experience debugging network configurations
- Experience developing software for avionics systems
- Experience packaging software into deployable images or volumes
- Experience with scripting, automation, or build tooling
- Experience supporting complex software systems in regulated environments
- Experience using Agile software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, JIRA, Confluence)
- Familiarity with Multi Level Security (MLS), Cross Domain Solution concepts, and cybersecurity control frameworks
- Current Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
