Senior webMethods Platform Engineer

Role Summary
The Senior webMethods Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the webMethods integration platform. This role focuses on platform architecture, environment stability, automation, and best practices, while also mentoring junior team members and collaborating with integration developers, infrastructure, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain webMethods platform environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD).
Install, configure, and upgrade webMethods components (IS, Trading Networks, MWS, Broker, etc.).
Define and enforce platform standards, architecture, and operational best practices.
Lead platform automation efforts (CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, backups, DR).
Troubleshoot complex platform, performance, and availability issues.
Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, network, and security teams.
Support capacity planning, performance tuning, and high availability setups.
Review integration designs for platform alignment and scalability.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Create and maintain platform documentation and runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience with Software AG webMethods platform administration.
Strong knowledge of webMethods architecture and core components.
Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Understanding of security concepts (certificates, SSL, OAuth, LDAP).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.

Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.).
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Software AG certifications.
