An enterprise organization is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst / Test Engineer to support and execute a comprehensive testing strategy across multiple business process areas, systems, and environments. This role focuses on both manual and automated testing, ensuring the quality, reliability, and accuracy of applications and business processes.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in test automation, business process testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst Consultant will design, build, and maintain formal test plans, scripts, and automation frameworks. The role involves executing test strategies, documenting outcomes, managing defects, and driving continuous improvement across enterprise testing efforts.
This position works closely with testing centers of excellence, development teams, functional stakeholders, and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
Partner with testing leadership, functional teams, and technical teams to execute enterprise testing strategies, protocols, and procedures
Support test planning for projects and production changes, documenting end-to-end business processes
Maintain alignment between business process hierarchies, procedures, and test cases
Participate in test strategy discussions and recommend optimal testing approaches
Test Automation Development
Create, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca
Configure and execute test automation tools within an established automation framework
Contribute to the development and enhancement of automation frameworks, libraries, and utilities
Test Design & Execution
Collaborate with QA and development teams to design test cases based on business processes, functional requirements, and user stories
Execute automated and manual test cases, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
Document test results, defects, resolutions, and assist with root cause analysis
Defect & Test Management
Analyze, track, and document defects clearly and concisely
Support defect resolution through collaboration with development and functional teams
Maintain quality test artifacts, metrics, and dashboards related to test execution and defect closure
Environment, Data & Reporting
Coordinate with infrastructure and operations teams to set up and maintain test environments
Manage and validate test data for automated test execution
Generate and present test execution and automation reports to stakeholders
Continuous Improvement & Enablement
Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
Support training and knowledge sharing related to automation best practices
Stay current with testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends
Required Education
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Required Skills (Ranked by importance)
5+ years of progressive experience as a QA Test Engineer/Analyst (manual and automation)
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices
Experience analyzing, modeling, and documenting end-to-end business processes for QA testing
Working knowledge of Finance, HCM, Logistics, and Treasury business processes
Ability to interpret requirements, functional designs, and technical specifications to produce testing artifacts
Preferred Skills
Proven experience with Tricentis Tosca, including Tosca Commander and Tosca TBox
Knowledge of SAP and SaaS enterprise systems
Experience with S/4HANA migrations and change impact analysis using test automation
Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications
Tricentis Tosca certification (e.g., Tricentis Certified Professional Tosca Testsuite)
Experience with tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
Proficiency in scripting languages (VBScript, JavaScript, Python)
Knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines
