Senior Azure Cloud Build/Infra Engineer
The Senior Azure Cloud Build Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and optimizing enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. This role delivers secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions that enable rapid deployment of business-critical workloads.
The engineer partners with Cloud Operations, Security, Architecture, Networking, and Development teams to implement standardized cloud services, automation, governance, and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Platform Engineering
- Design, build, migrate, and maintain Azure cloud environments.
- Develop reusable infrastructure patterns and reference architectures.
- Implement secure, highly available, and scalable cloud solutions.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
- Create reusable modules and deployment frameworks.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Enforce version-controlled deployment practices.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Automate testing, validation, deployment, and compliance processes.
- Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, and APIs.
Networking & Connectivity
- Design and support Azure networking solutions including VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Front Door, Private Endpoints, DNS, and Load Balancing services.
Security & Governance
- Implement Azure security and governance controls including Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and regulatory requirements.
Containers & Platform Services
- Build and support AKS platforms and Azure Container Registry.
- Implement deployment automation, monitoring, and cloud-native platform standards.
Cloud Migration & Modernization
- Lead migration initiatives utilizing Azure Migrate and related technologies.
- Partner with application teams to assess, migrate, and modernize workloads.
Monitoring & Observability
- Implement observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Workbooks, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and operational reporting.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate across Cloud Operations, Security, Architecture, Networking, and Development teams.
- Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.

Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on Azure engineering experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
- Proven success delivering cloud automation solutions.
