Senior Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Stamford, CT that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 3-7 years of experience working on modern cloud data platforms. In this role, the Senior Data Engineer design, build, and optimize our data environment, with a strong focus on Snowflake. You will develop scalable data pipelines, support analytics use cases, and enable future ML/AI capabilities. This position does not involve BI report development or people management.

What You'll Do:
* Build and maintain cloud data platform components, including storage, compute, security, and integrations
* Develop and orchestrate data ingestion and transformation pipelines
* Implement best practices for data operations, automation, and CI/CD workflows
* Support ML/AI-ready data structures and assist teams consuming curated datasets
* Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into usable data models

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-7 years with modern cloud data platforms, including strong Snowflake experience
* Hands-on experience with SQL, data ingestion (batch/streaming), and transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
* Familiarity with AWS and DevOps practices for data platforms
* Experience supporting analytics or ML-adjacent environments
* Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
