What you will do:
Develop product level requirements from customer and industry specifications. Further decompose requirements to support both SW and HW developments
Perform trade studies to support and optimize the technical solution and requirements
Define integration and verification strategies for avionic functions and products, create test plans, test case and procedure, execute system verification, and create test reports.
Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiencies in the development activities.
Communicating effectively to a host of stakeholders across the technical spectrum, including customers, program management, senior leadership and functional teams.
Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Familiarity with Systems Engineering development process to include requirements management
Experience in leading real-time, embedded system design and development.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Familiarity with flight deck design concepts and operational certification requirements.
- Knowledge of technical project management principles to manage dependencies/risks.
- Experience with safety-critical, real-time, embedded system development.
- Experience with avionics or other aircraft system development and certification.
- Experience developing systems that are compliant with ARP-4754, RTCA DO-178, DO-160 and DO-254.
- Experience with leading multidisciplinary team in both Agile and waterfall development methods
- Familiar with script-based verification method and practice (Python, LabVIEW).
- Familiar with software & complex device development life cycle and verification.
