- Job Type: 6-month contract - could extend or convert to FTE
- Location: Remote - Pacific time zone hours
- Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $65-$70/hr

What You'll Do:
- Build and govern the enterprise semantic foundation-developing dimensional models, governed metrics, ontologies, and knowledge graph structures that enable consistent, trustworthy AI and analytics use cases.
- Own the enterprise data catalog by documenting metadata, lineage, ownership, and business context for high-value assets across Snowflake, Databricks, and Iceberg environments.
- Drive data quality by performing validation, root cause analysis, and working cross-functionally with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to resolve issues and certify reporting.
- Partner with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to align governance priorities, standardize terminology, and improve data discoverability and usability.
- Advance AI-readiness by leveraging AI-assisted documentation tools, improving governance automation, and contributing to scalable self-service analytics capabilities.
What Gets You the Job:
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, data engineering, data quality, metadata management, or a related data-focused discipline.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise data catalogs, business glossaries, data lineage, stewardship practices, and/or report certification workflows.
- Familiarity with modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Exposure to knowledge management techniques such as semantic layers, ontologies, knowledge graphs, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) concepts.
- Strong SQL skills for data profiling, validation, and issue investigation; experience working in an Agile delivery framework.
