This role is responsible for the operation, support, monitoring, and optimization of Linux-based systems that support enterprise security and network monitoring platforms across IT and operational technology (OT) environments. The position focuses on system reliability, performance, automation, and lifecycle management in a complex, always-on infrastructure.
The environment requires strong Linux administration skills, comfort operating at scale, and the ability to troubleshoot and automate across diverse systems. The role partners closely with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure stable, resilient platforms that support business-critical services.
- Operate, support, and maintain Linux-based systems supporting enterprise network and security platforms.
- Perform daily system health monitoring to ensure availability, performance, and integrity of servers, services, and processes.
- Review system, application, and platform logs to identify operational issues and support troubleshooting efforts.
- Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and configuration updates in alignment with vendor and organizational standards.
- Develop and maintain automation to support system operations, monitoring, and platform management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux OS, application, storage, and network-related issues independently.
- Partner with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure systems are configured to meet operational and business requirements.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, processes, and procedures to improve system reliability and supportability.
- Support capital projects involving the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Linux-based platforms and appliances.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution, including backup and restore operations.
Core Systems & Operations Duties- Analyze system and hardware performance data to determine repair, tuning, or replacement needs.
- Design, configure, test, and maintain Linux servers, services, and supporting infrastructure.
- Maintain system configurations, access controls, and security hardening aligned with established standards.
- Monitor system and network performance and proactively recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
- Maintain logs, system records, and maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support procurement, upgrades, and platform changes.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system-level failures, replacing components as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
