UI/UX Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX with a need for a UI/UX Designer.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer who is deeply proficient in Figma and experienced in bridging design to production React frontends. This role supports a modern engineering software platform serving the marine, offshore, and structural engineering industries. The ideal candidate moves fast from business requirements to high-fidelity prototypes, thinks in design systems rather than one-off screens, and understands the workflows of engineers who work in 3D CAD and simulation environments.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, including 2+ years heavily focused on Figma
* Portfolio demonstrating enterprise-grade, data-intensive application design
* Proven track record delivering designs successfully implemented in React applications
* Expert in Figma: components, auto layout, variables, prototyping, design tokens, branching/version control
* Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems aligned with React component libraries
* Strong Figma-to-React workflow experience using Dev Mode, Locofy, Anima, Builder.io, or similar tools
* Experience leveraging Figma AI features and plugins to accelerate design workflows
* Solid UI/UX fundamentals including information architecture, interaction design, user flows, wireframing, usability testing, and WCAG accessibility standards
* Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and React; ability to create developer-ready designs and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
* Experience designing complex, data-rich applications such as dashboards, reporting tools, workflows, tables, and technical software
* Ability to quickly translate business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences
* Strong communication skills with experience creating high-fidelity prototypes and presenting design rationale to stakeholders

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with engineering, CAD, simulation, scientific, or technical software
* Familiarity with marine, offshore, shipbuilding, or structural engineering environments
* Experience synchronizing Figma design systems with React component libraries through Storybook, Tokens Studio, or similar tools
* Responsive and adaptive design experience across desktop and web applications
* Motion design and micro-interactions that enhance usability
* Familiarity with Storybook, Chromatic, Zeplin, or related collaboration tools

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
