Description: Our client is currently seeking a MP&P Engineer 2

About the Team

Our NDE (Non-Destructive Evaluation) and Measurement Systems team supports the full lifecycle of commercial and defense aerospace products-from early research and development through active service. The team develops, tests, qualifies, and implements advanced NDE and measurement technologies that support design, production, and maintenance activities.

You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of aircraft platforms and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, research, operations, and program support. This role offers the ability to contribute to initiatives that span across the enterprise while building a broad professional network.
About the Role

We are seeking an engineer who is motivated, curious, and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A strong interest in Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) is essential. You should bring foundational NDE knowledge or experience, along with analytical skills to evaluate performance, investigate failures, and support troubleshooting of tools, materials, processes, or parts.

Experience writing NDE inspection procedures-especially for commercial or derivative aircraft-is highly valued.
Responsibilities
  • Develop NDE procedures to support customer maintenance and inspection activities.
  • Design NDE reference standards for use in inspection procedures.
  • Create and maintain engineering specifications and supporting technical documentation.
  • Support evaluation of emerging technologies to determine application to organizational needs.
  • Assist in developing and qualifying new tools, materials, parts, and processes.
  • Conduct routine testing and supplier audits to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Support corrective and preventive action implementation.
  • Use project management tools to track cost, schedule, and technical commitments.
  • Integrate environmental, health & safety (EHS), quality, and lean principles into daily work, including materials selection, design and qualification tasks, work instructions, and laboratory/office activities.
  • Collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams and multiple engineering disciplines.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ year of relevant engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with NDE technologies such as ultrasonics or eddy current.
  • Aerospace or aviation industry experience.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computing systems and software tools.
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.
  • Strong time-management skills; comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects across various locations.
  • Knowledge of materials science related to metals and/or composites.
