In thispositionyou willbe responsible forassistingwith the software design and development of theQualcomm AI Stackwithin the Qualcomm AI Runtime (QAIRT)SDK, focusedonIOTdomain. You will contribute to the efficient execution of advanced deep neural networks (DNNs), large language models (LLMs), and other modern AI architectures.
You will have the opportunity todemonstrateyour passion for software design and development through your analytical, design, programming, and debugging skills.In this roleyouwilllead feature development, provide guidance to junior team members, and make decisionsimpactingyour direct area and the broader work group. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable AI software solutions, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the AI Software team.
Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
Responsibilities
- Asthe AI softwarelead, you will be hands-on and leading the team responsible forensuringAI SDKsupport fora variety ofIOTproductplatforms.
- Drive feature development and enhancementsneeded intheQualcomm AI StackSDKsforIOTproducts.
- You will work closelywith the rest of the AI software team andwith other teams within Qualcomminvolved insupportingIOT platforms.
- Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond the immediate work group.You will provide supervision/guidance to other teammembers, and you willparticipatein strategic planning for integrating the Qualcomm AI Stack SDKsinto IOT products.
- You will also have to keep up with the fast-paced development happening inindustryand academia to continuously enhance our solution fromasoftwareengineering as well asamachine learning standpoint.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+years ofindustryand general software developmentexperience
- Proficiencyin software development using C/C++
- Experience with Linux or Unix based OS systems software development environment
- Strong software development skills (e.g.data structure and algorithm design, object oriented or other software design paradigm knowledge, software debugging and testing, etc.)
- Ability to work independently with no supervision
- Ability to lead a software team andeffectivelycollaboratewithcross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable AI software solutions
- Excellentcommunication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
- Ability to convey complexand detailedinformationto multiple audiencesand high-level stake holders
- Ability to make decisions and construct plans withincompleteinformation
Preferred Qualifications
- Master?sComputer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Software development experience with Python
- Experience withWindowssoftware developmentenvironment
- Experience building embedded software applications
- Experience debugging complex problems across multiple layers of hardware, OS, compiler, and drivers
- Experience with differentNeural Networkarchitectures:DNNs, CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, GANs, LLMs, etc.
- Experience with low level interactions between operating systems (e.g., Linux, Android, QNX) and Hardware.
- Experience using/integratingQualcomm AI Stack products (e.g.QNN, SNPE, QAIRT)
- Experience with agile software development practices and git based SCM
- Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$178,400.00 - $267,600.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
