Summary

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE - On Prem/Legacy Migration) position! This is a 3 months with potential to extend contract and will be remote in United States.

This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead the legacy infrastructure migration from legacy virtual machines data center to a modernized non-legacy environment
Define and drive service reliability standards including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets throughout the migration process
Serve as the technical SME for reliability, performance, resilience, and blue-green/canary deployment strategies
Ensure environment stability and maintain capacity planning during the active migration of Windows, SQL Server, and Linux-based systems
Design and implement Active-Active deployment strategies using Azure, Terraform, GitLab, and Artifactory
Collaborate with Technology management, support teams, and business partners to architect technical solutions meeting organizational needs
Develop infrastructure architecture designs, technology standards, and comprehensive technical documentation for complex systems
Provide production support on a rotation basis to maintain system reliability and respond to critical incidents
Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on SRE best practices and reliability engineering principles
Conduct thorough analysis of operational constraints, system integration requirements, and performance optimization opportunities

What You'll Need to Have:

Advanced experience in infrastructure design, site reliability engineering, or systems architecture roles
Proven expertise as a Senior SRE with hands-on experience in Azure, Terraform, GitLab, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines
Demonstrated ability to define and implement service reliability standards including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
Strong proficiency in Windows and SQL Server environments with experience in virtual machine infrastructure
Solid understanding of blue-green and canary deployment strategies with experience serving as a technical SME
Expert-level knowledge of Active-Active deployment architectures and high-availability system design
Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured, high-quality technical implementations
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels

Pay Range: $75 - $80+/hr
