Position Summary Test Configuration
Configure / setup engineering defined tests for fluid components and/or assemblies(Valves, Pumps, Motors, etc.) in accordance with internal verbal instructions, written procedures and/or industry test method standards such as MIL-STD-810/DO-160. Engineering defined tests may include flow, thermal, vibration, power and/or pressure requiring instrumentation such as pressure and temperature gauges, flow meters, oscilloscopes, accelerometers, torque meters, tachometers and computer data acquisition systems.
Test Execution
Conduct engineering defined tests on fluid components and/or assemblies (Valves, Pumps, Motors, etc.) in accordance with internal verbal instructions, written procedures and/or industry test method standards such as MIL-STD-810/DO-160. Monitor inputs to ensure test requirements are met for the test duration. Evaluate outputs / interpret results and ensure compliance to data collection requirements. Maintain accurate test records.
Measurement
Conduct measurements on fluid components and/or assemblies to determine defined physical and/or functional characteristics. Measurements may include size, weight, hardness, density, flow, pressure, temperature, power, torque and/or acceleration.
Calibration
Ensure proper calibration of equipment to appropriate standards. Maintain records of calibration for all utilized test instrumentation. Calibrate internal instruments to approved standards and/or coordinate external calibration resources.
Qualifications Two years related experience, trade or military training, or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, sketches, schematics and procedures.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to assemble and/or construct basic fluid flow circuits using piping, hoses fittings, tanks and gauging. Ability to use a computer and standard Microsoft software products including ExcelPrior experience in data acquisition a plusUtilize hand tools and power tools.Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.Conditions of Employment This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Competitive Compensation- Pay Range: \$20.52/hr to \$34.20/hr
