Position Summary
The Maintenance Manager provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for the facility's maintenance department. This role is responsible for the synchronization of all electrical, mechanical, and automation systems supporting production and utility operations.
As a key bridge between Engineering and Plant Operations, you will act as a technical adviser to resolve processing challenges, lead a skilled team of technicians, and ensure the long-term reliability of all plant assets.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Direct daily activities for maintenance staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. Foster a self-directed, high-accountability culture.
Asset Management: Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program using FIXX software. Analyze labor efficiency and equipment downtime via MP2 to optimize spare parts inventory and repair schedules.
Project Management: Lead equipment installations and upgrades, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget using Critical Path Analysis.
Technical Systems: Manage and maintain PLC programs, SCADA, and MMI applications. Oversee electrical control changes and maintain up-to-date AutoCAD documentation.
Compliance & Safety: Uphold Process Safety Management (PSM) standards, including Mechanical Integrity and Management of Change (MOC). Ensure strict adherence to GMP and safety guidelines.
Procurement: Manage the sourcing of OEM parts and vendor relations through the Microsoft D-365 ERP system.
Continuous Improvement: Partner with management to identify capital improvement needs, support new product trials, and scale up production processes.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
5+ years of direct experience in plant maintenance.
2+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Extensive background in systems integration, automation, or mechanical engineering.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Rockwell RS software, AutoCAD, and Project Management tools.
Experience with ERP systems (specifically D-365) and maintenance software (FIXX/MP2).
Strong understanding of PLC programming and industrial control systems.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong "common sense" approach to troubleshooting in a high-stakes food processing environment.
Ability to work independently and meet rigorous quarterly performance benchmarks.
