Job Title: Production Support Engineer (LAMP Stack)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer with experience in supporting and maintaining web applications built on the LAMP technology stack. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience working in production environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide production support for web-based applications, ensuring high availability and timely resolution of incidents.
* Analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
* Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure-related issues across the LAMP environment.
* Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve production problems and support application releases.
* Manage source code using GitHub and participate in code reviews and deployment activities.
* Work with logs, system metrics, and production data to diagnose and resolve issues.
* Support deployment processes and contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements.
* Document production issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
* Communicate status updates, risks, and progress effectively to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* 2+ years of experience providing production/application support.
* 2+ years of experience in process analysis and production issue investigation.
* 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving within enterprise applications.
* 2+ years of experience working with LAMP technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
* 2+ years of experience using GitHub for source code management and version control.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced production support environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong understanding of the complete LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
* Experience with SOLR search platform.
* Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash).
* Experience with containerization technologies and deployment pipeline management.
* Knowledge of Object Storage Services.
* Experience performing data analysis and navigating production data for issue investigation.
* 1+ year of experience with AWS services, particularly Amazon S3.
* 1+ year of experience working with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
* Experience supporting cloud-based applications and modern DevOps practices is a plus
