Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database development, SQL/PLSQL programming, database design, performance tuning, and enterprise application support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing complex stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, views, and optimized SQL queries, along with experience in indexing, partitioning, and execution plan analysis. The role requires expertise in data migration, ETL/data integration, production troubleshooting, and delivering scalable and reliable database solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are required, along with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, and views.
Design and optimize complex SQL queries for high-performance applications.
Perform SQL query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, and database performance optimization.
Develop database solutions for large-scale enterprise applications.
Perform data migration, data validation, and database integration activities.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure teams.
Create technical documentation and database design specifications.
Support application releases, deployments, enhancements, and production maintenance.
Ensure database security, integrity, availability, and performance.

Required Skills

10+ years of strong PL/SQL development experience.
Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Strong experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Cursors, Views, and Materialized Views.
Expertise in Oracle performance tuning and optimization.
Strong knowledge of Indexes, Partitions, Execution Plans, and Query Optimization.
Experience with Oracle 12c/19c/21c.
Experience with SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar tools.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
Experience with ETL/Data Integration tools such as Informatica.
Knowledge of Python or Java.
Experience with AWS/Azure and cloud database technologies.
Exposure to Control-M or other scheduling tools.
Experience in financial services, healthcare, insurance, or other enterprise domains is a plus.
