MuleSoft Application Developer - Must be local to St. Louis, MO

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to integrate applications, data sources, and APIs securely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement APIs and integrations using MuleSoft

• Build and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs

• Develop Mule applications using Mule 4, DataWeave 2.x, and Anypoint Studio

• Implement integration patterns (sync/async, event-driven, batch processing)

• Deploy and manage APIs using CloudHub or on-prem Mule runtimes

• Apply API-led connectivity (System, Process, Experience layers)

• Implement security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, Basic Auth)

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations

• Write unit and integration tests using MUnit

• Maintain documentation and follow CI/CD and version control best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

• Strong expertise in Mule 4 and DataWeave

• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs

• Solid understanding of integration concepts and enterprise messaging

• Experience with JSON, XML, HTTP, and web services

• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

• MuleSoft Certification (Developer Level 1 or 2)

• Experience with CloudHub, AWS, or Azure

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization

• Integration experience with Salesforce, SAP, databases, or enterprise systems

• Knowledge of API management, policies, and rate limiting
