Summary
Requirement for a remote Senior OCI Cloud Engineer to maintain & monitor Cloud Infrastructure within the Oracle Cloud, helping to leverage infrastructure automation, Oracle Cloud native services, security and encryption, cloud and automation best practices, and technical integration, among other related activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends
- Ensure and optimize database performance
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software application, and design
- Experience using OCI, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or other major cloud computing services
- Experience with various types of Cloud automations tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc. to provide & advocate for Cloud Automation best practices
- Utilize strong cloud skills with an emphasis on data privacy, encryption, and security
- Collaborate with OCI Architects for design & implementation
- Will be using DevOps in a cloud environment
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and associated services and technologies
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
- 8-10+ Years of Experience
- Proven cloud engineering techniques to perform the tasks, and shall employ commercial best practices and innovative solutions
- Experience using the suite of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
- Must have the ability to travel, as needed, within the Continental United States to Support the client program
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills, process implementation skills
- Certifications in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are strongly encouraged
- Strong planning and project management ability
Work Location Type: Remote; occasional meetings at client site for scheduled events or milestones
