Our direct client is seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our client’s dynamic team! As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS. Your primary focus will be on ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based applications and services. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes necessary for our organization''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s software development and deployment pipelines. Your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth and efficient collaboration and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will be working as our clients internal lead for theirmigration to AWS Cloud to their team of consultants currently on this project.

This position is a full-time/permanent opportunity with our client offering a generous salary/benefits and bonus pay structure. This position is a hybrid opportunity (onsite 2-3 days per week in Portsmouth NH). This position also requires on-call shift support one week every month.
Location: Hybrid, onsite 2-3 days per week in Portsmouth NH
Salary: 100-117K - Can-go up to 134K for a ROCK STAR candidate + companywide bonus 7% of base.
On-call every 3 weeks for 1 entire week, 7x24 - $135.00 for the extra week will be paid. Rarely gets calls outside of normal business hours. Will be remote for any hours outside of normal business hours
Required Skills
7+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, with a focus on AWS services and technologies
Highly preferred: Cloud migration experience from on-prem to AWS
Strong knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail (one ore more)
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS native tools.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices in the context of cloud computing.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk.
Seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer with Networking experience - Palo Alto is virtualized in AWS so transit gateway experience is a huge plus - Gateway load balancers / Gateway loadbalance points - anything AWS Network related would be ideal, Infrastructure as a Code (IAC)
On network side - R&S, Firewall (Palo Alto is preferred but will accept other firewall exp), Netscaler, blend of Network Eng and Security Network Eng is the target
Very close to AWS migration being completed --few weeks out - 30 accounts in AWS
