In this position you will serve as a first level supervisor of the Energy Management Section in the Portfolio Optimization Branch, Engineering Division.1.Develops goals and objective that integrate organization and the Energy Management Section objectives. Research, interprets, analyzes, and applies energy management guidelines, polices, and regulations. Establishes policies and procedures for accomplishments of long range and short-term facility energy project requirements. Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Exercises 1st level technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more of duty time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinate employees, sets and adjusts short and long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with staff counterparts and management officials at Centers, HQ AFMC, HQ USAF, SAF, OSD and with installation and contractor organizations. Oversees utility management program. Complies with health, safety, environmental results and procedures, and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment. Ensures periodic safety inspections, evaluations, and surveys of facilities, equipment and operations are accomplished to identify potential hazards.

KSAs:

1. Knowledge of energy program guidelines, policies, and regulations.

2. Knowledge of planning and program management to execute major projects, provide expert advice to colleagues, and present innovative recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods.

3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization.

5. Ability to research, evaluate, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.

6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.

ADDITIONAL POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS

1. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

3. A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is highly desired.
