We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a high-visibility initiative for one of our clients focused on modernizing and documenting critical legacy applications. This role will partner closely with application teams, business stakeholders, and technical resources to reverse-engineer existing systems, document requirements, support testing efforts, and help establish a reusable foundation for future modernization work.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analyst who enjoys solving complex problems, documenting legacy processes, and translating business needs into structured requirements and testing artifacts. Experience working with legacy applications, accessibility initiatives, and application testing is highly valued.
What You'll Do
- Analyze and reverse-engineer legacy applications to document business, functional, and technical requirements
- Develop user stories, process flows, data flow diagrams, business rules, and edge-case scenarios
- Create comprehensive requirements-based test cases, including:
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- Security-focused testing
- Accessibility-focused testing
- Build and maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, findings, test cases, and remediation activities
- Support accessibility initiatives by assisting with WCAG 2.2 gap analysis and validating implemented fixes against business requirements
- Execute application testing activities, document defects, validate results, and assist with remediation efforts
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate requirements gathering, documentation, and test case creation while ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, developers, business users, and leadership teams to ensure successful project outcomes
- Manage multiple workstreams, risks, issues, and deliverables across several applications
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst writing business requirements and test cases
- OR a 4-year degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements
- Experience developing test cases and supporting application testing efforts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders and initiatives
- Experience identifying gaps, risks, and ambiguities within requirements and business processes
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience reverse-engineering legacy applications
- Experience creating:
- User stories
- Process flow diagrams
- Data flow diagrams
- Business process documentation
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines
- Experience creating and maintaining requirements traceability matrices

- Take tier 1 level calls in support of the network
- Resolving customer issues with great service and compassion for their problem.
Requirements:- General: Excellent customer service experience, experience with Microsoft Windows OS, HP Service Manager, Remedy or other ticketing system.
- Experience with basic troubleshooting hardware/software.
