Summary

ServicePoint is supporting a client seeking a Services Technician for a 3 6 month, 100% onsite assignment located in the Easton area of Columbus, OH. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. There is potential for extension or permanent placement based on performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Image laptops and desktop devices in accordance with company standards

  • Perform break/fix repairs as needed

  • Manage assigned ticket queue, coordinate workload effectively, and close tickets in a timely manner with accurate documentation

  • Document all tickets using the provided note templates

  • Reassign tickets when necessary, including proper documentation and justification

  • Follow established escalation procedures set by Insight and the client

  • Support Stockroom Repair SLA by ensuring devices are fully operational and loaded with a valid base image prior to completion

  • Adhere to Asset Management protocols and deliverables; non-compliance may result in client penalties and performance review

Asset Management Responsibilities Include:

  • Updating asset dispositions the same day equipment is processed

  • Completing data certifications and addressing any discrepancies with documented mitigation actions

  • Ordering necessary parts and returning warranty parts within required timelines

  • Coordinating equipment disposal and maintaining accurate disposal records


Core Competencies

  • Ability to make routine technical decisions independently

  • Effective response to client inquiries and issue resolution

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience

  • Experience with ServiceNow

  • Hands-on experience repairing laptops and desktops (including batteries, screens, motherboards, etc.)

  • Strong general PC troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without restrictions

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
