Job Description: Compute Engineer
Location: Houston, Texas Onsite
Experience 10 Years
Role Summary
We are seeking a Compute Engineer with hands-on experience in Windows Server administration and server build activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Windows server infrastructure while ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and deploy Windows Server environments Windows Server
- Perform server provisioning, OS installation, domain joining and post-build hardening activities
- Administer and support Active Directory Group Policies GPO DNS, and DHCP services
- Perform routine server health checks, troubleshooting and performance monitoring
- Execute Windows server patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation activities
- Support server decommissioning and lifecycle management activities
- Troubleshoot OS, hardware, networking and application-related issues
- Work closely with infrastructure security and application teams during deployments and maintenance activities
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and change records
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL best practices
- Support data center operations and onsite server-related activities as required
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration
- Hands-on experience in new server build and provisioning activities

- Experience with Windows patch management and vulnerability remediation
- Knowledge of VMware virtualization environments

- Understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall concepts
Preferred Skills
- Experience with VMware ESXivSphere
- Exposure to Azure cloud environments
- Knowledge of server backup and recovery processes
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience working in enterprise data center environments
