Job Title: Lead Android Engineer
Location: North Carolina (Hybrid – Local Only)
Duration: Contract to Hire (after 6 months)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Lead Android Engineer to design and build high-performance native mobile applications. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in modern Android development along with leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, development, and delivery of Android applications

  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams

  • Mentor developers on best practices and performance optimization

  • Write clean, testable code with automated testing (JUnit, Espresso)

  • Drive Agile development, code reviews, and production support

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in Android development (Kotlin/Java)

  • Expertise in modern frameworks (Jetpack Compose, MVVM/MVI)

  • Experience with dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger)

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and mobile architecture patterns

  • Exposure to cloud platforms and microservices

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of software development, 5+ years in mobile

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
