Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Image/SCCM Administrator to join our team in Wiesbaden, Germany. As an Image/SCCM Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's image deployment and configuration management using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Your expertise will contribute to efficient software deployment, system imaging, and ensuring the stability and security of our IT infrastructure. If you have excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of image deployment and SCCM, and a commitment to providing exceptional support, we would love to hear from you.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Image deployment and management: You will create and maintain standardized system images for desktops, laptops, and servers. This includes configuring and optimizing images, managing image libraries, and deploying images using SCCM or similar deployment tools.
  • Software deployment and patch management: You will utilize SCCM to deploy software applications, updates, and patches across the organization. This involves creating software packages, defining deployment schedules, and ensuring successful software distribution.
  • Configuration management: You will implement and maintain configuration baselines and desired configuration management policies using SCCM. This includes monitoring system compliance, remediation of non-compliant systems, and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
  • Asset inventory and reporting: You will utilize SCCM to gather and maintain accurate hardware and software inventory information. This includes generating reports on system configurations, software license compliance, and hardware asset tracking.
  • Endpoint protection management: You will configure and manage endpoint protection solutions, such as Microsoft Defender Antivirus or other antivirantimalware tools, using SCCM. This includes defining and deploying security policies, monitoring endpoint protection status, and performing threat analysis.
  • Troubleshooting and support: You will provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for image deployment, software deployment, and configuration management issues. This includes diagnosing and resolving deployment failures, software installation problems, and configuration errors.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • In scope DOD Secret clearance is required.
  • A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.
  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • IAT Level II certification such as Security+ or equivalent is required at start date.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain TESA and/or Host Nation requirements.
  • The ability to work in a high pace environment with a team to accomplish mission requirements.
  • Has proficient writing, oral communications, and presentations skills.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate: This certification validates your skills in managing and deploying modern desktop environments using tools like SCCM. It demonstrates your expertise in image deployment, software deployment, and configuration management.
  • CompTIA A+: This certification covers essential knowledge and skills required for IT support roles and provides a solid foundation for troubleshooting and supporting image and SCCM administration tasks.
  • Microsoft Certified: SCCM Administrator: This certification focuses specifically on SCCM administration and validates your knowledge and skills in deploying, configuring, and managing SCCM infrastructure.
  • ITIL Foundation: This certification provides a framework for IT service management and includes principles and best practices for managing configuration and software deployment processes effectively.
  • 8+ years of technical experience in the following areas:
    • SQL Server (2016 preferred)
    • Microsoft Server (2016 preferred)
    • Microsoft DHCP/DNS Server
    • Active Directory
    • PowerShell scripting
    • VDI Environments
