The Opportunity: As an embedded sof tware engineer, you know how to create and maintain cru cia l pieces of sof tware. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of sof tware, allowing them to communicate. We're looking for an experience d embedded sof tware engineer like you to develop technology for our clients' most important mission-forward challenges.
As a senior embedded sof tware engineer at Booz Allen, you'll support the develop ment of systems, sites, and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you'll write, test, and edit code in support of the team's overall results. You'll expand your skills as you develop and reverse engineer sof tware that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. You'll work with other team leaders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity spe cia lists to ensure that the sof tware you're creating is secure.

You Have: - 14+ years of experience with computer network operations capability develop ment and engineering services, including defense and exploitation to gain strategic advantages
- 10+ years of experience with computer programming in C / C++, Python, Assembly, or PerlScript
- Experience with sof tware develop ment, analytic develop ment, and DevOps techniques for malware variants, advancing crypt capabilities, and emerging unknown protocols
- Experience gathering requirements, designing and develop ing approaches for product security and resilience, cryptographic solutions, and anti-forensic measures
- Experience with indigenous and vendor proprietary protocols
- Experience using automation and virtualization to deploy, maintain, and sustain capabilities, develop ing and executing strategies for countering or mitigating environmental challenges, security and policy constraints, and system and architecture limitations
- Experience with designing, develop ing, debugging, and testing of embedded sof tware, and performing requirements analysis to drive requirement specifications
- Experience packaging embedded sof tware products for release to government customers
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have: - 5+ years of experience in the areas of computer engineering, computer science, electronic and electrical engineering, or applied mathematics
- 5+ years of experience in big data platforms, black box testing, cloud computing, disa ssembly, or global telecommunications system architectures and protocols, protocol analysis, ICS or SCADA design and systems, sof tware debugging, streaming analytics, vulnerability management or mitigation
- Experience performing design reviews with team members and government stakeholders
- Experience in telecommunications operations, computer network operations, SIGINT collection operations, information security ( INFOSEC ) , information assurance, or research and develop ment
- Experience in exploit develop ment and malware reverse engineering
- Experience with Unix, Linux, or RTOS, and Wind River VxWorks

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
