Team Overview

  • Team layout: 1 Tech Lead + 2 Developers (FTE)
  • Current state: Tech Lead is leaving
  • Overlap: Some transition overlap planned with the current lead
  • Employment type: CTH (Contract-to-Hire) preferred

Technology & Environment

  • Primary needed stack: .NET applications (plus Java would be great)
  • Architecture: SaaS provider hosted on AWS
  • Current setup:
    • Mostly on-prem today
    • Legacy on-prem contracts still in place for ~1 year
  • Domain: Insurance (vehicle insurance)
  • Modernization effort: Legacy systems Guidewire
    • Go-live target: May
    • Guidewire experience not required (separate Guidewire team exists)
    • Role will work closely with the Guidewire team
  • Integrations:
    • CRM
    • APIs and system integrations

  • Hands-on role with mentorship:
    • Coding + design responsibilities
    • No dedicated architect currently

    • Strong .NET background

Development Lead

Overview:

We are seeking a Development Lead to guide our development team in modernizing legacy while building innovative applications. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality delivery of scalable applications and microservices. You will play a key role in shaping architecture, mentoring developers, and driving best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our applications and APIs.
  • Drive the transition of legacy systems to modern architectures, including microservices.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, version control, and deployment best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Strong Back end services (.NET, Java as well is preferred)
  • Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and design principles.
  • Experience with integrations with CRMs
  • Strong API experience
  • AWS proficiency
