Summary

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build new applications and improve core platform capabilities. This is a hands-on role where you'll be writing code, working across the stack, and helping take new products from the early stages through production. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering in a fast-moving environment, so we're looking for someone who can take ownership, make good technical decisions, and adapt as priorities change.

A growing software organization focused on healthcare technology is expanding its platform and building several new products. Its software helps healthcare organizations manage provider compensation and contracts while providing better access to real-time data and analytics.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience building and maintaining SaaS products
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL
  • Experience designing and building APIs and backend systems
  • Comfortable working across the stack when needed
  • Experience with software architecture and system design
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in healthcare or healthcare administration
  • Experience working across multiple products or platforms
  • Experience with Kubernetes and deployment infrastructure
  • Experience with Azure, Docker, Redis, or Snowflake
  • Experience with PHP, React Native, or SolidQueue
  • Experience using AI tools to improve development speed and productivity
What You Will Be Doing
  • Build and maintain applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies
  • Help design and build new products from the ground up
  • Work across the stack, including backend APIs and frontend integrations
  • Design and improve system architecture as the platform grows
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Use AI and agentic development tools to improve productivity and development quality
  • Participate in code reviews and help maintain engineering standards and best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to build and deliver new features
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute to technical decisions
  • Help create a collaborative and positive engineering environment
