Role -Sr Electrical Engineer

Location - Pittsburgh, PA

Full Time

Note: This position will be based in Pittsburgh, PA for approximately the first two (2) years. Following this initial period and pending project status, the role is expected to relocate to either Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX based on business needs. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate as part of the role.

Education/Years of Experience:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (Highly Preferred) and eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
Preferred: PE License
Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering

Job Requirements:

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills?
Proficiency in reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)?
Preferred: Experience with PLCs?
Preferred: Project Management experience?
?Preferred: Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
Preferred: Proficiency in designing, and implementing, Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field WITH Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and (8) eight years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
Power Distribution & Electrical System Design
Strong experience designing and optimizing power distribution systems for industrial facilities such as pipelines, compressor stations, or similar infrastructure.
Arc Flash Analysis & Electrical Safety Compliance
Ability to review arc flash studies and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Knowledge of Electrical Design Codes & Standards
Working knowledge of NEC, NEMA, API, and IEEE standards for electrical design, installation, and system reliability.
Power System Analysis Tools
Experience with power system modeling and simulation tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, or Simulink for electrical system analysis.
High-Voltage Electrical Equipment Expertise
Hands-on knowledge of transformers, generators, switchgear, and other high-voltage equipment used in large-scale industrial facilities.

Shift/Work hours/Travel Requirements:

Must be willing to travel up to 50%
