- 100% Remote (within Wisconsin only)
- Candidate must be a current Wisconsin resident Hours: Up to 20 hours/week, as needed
Role Overview
UW Madison is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer (Campus Solutions) to augment an existing IT team on an as-needed basis. This engagement is focused primarily on production support and operational sustainment, rather than new feature development.
The contractor will support PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules primarily Student Financials and/or Admissions and will work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure system stability, issue resolution, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support and operational maintenance for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application issues in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain PeopleCode and Application Engine programs as required
- Support PeopleSoft components, records, pages, and application packages
- Assist with COBOL-based processes within the PeopleSoft environment
- Collaborate with functional users and technical teams to resolve system issues
- Follow UW Madison IT standards, security requirements, and documentation practices
- 12+ Years in PeopleSoft Development
- 5+ Years in Campus Solutions Specifically (either Student Financials or Admissions ideally both
- Application Security in PSOFT
- Web Services in PSOFT
Required Skills & Experience (5+ years; majority required)
- 12 years of PeopleCode development, including:
- Application Packages
- Records
- Pages
- Components
- 10 years of experience with PeopleSoft Application Engine(s)
- 10 years of experience using COBOL in a PeopleSoft environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, especially:
- Student Financials
- Admissions
- PeopleSoft Application Security experience
- Experience with PeopleSoft Web Services
Additional Notes
- Weekend work is not expected
- No travel required
- Security clearance required per State of Wisconsin onboarding standards
