Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Audit Director to lead complex technology and cybersecurity audit initiatives across a large organization. This role will oversee audit planning, technical testing, risk assessment, reporting, and executive-level discussions while managing and developing a small audit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT audit engagements, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, testing, and reporting.
• Conduct audits covering cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, AI technologies, IT risk, and operational resiliency.
• Evaluate technology controls, risks, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Assess emerging risks associated with AI and agentic AI solutions.
• Develop audit findings, recommendations, and executive-level reports.
• Present audit results and risk insights to senior technology and business leaders.
• Partner with technology, security, risk, and compliance teams to address identified risks.
• Use data analytics, Python, and data visualization techniques to enhance audit testing and reporting.
• Manage, coach, and develop a small team of IT audit professionals.
• Ensure audits are completed in accordance with internal standards, policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT audit, technology risk, information security, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading complex IT/cybersecurity audits.
• Formal people management experience with the ability to coach and develop audit professionals.
• Strong understanding of IT controls, risk management, cybersecurity, cloud, and technology governance.
• Experience communicating audit findings and recommendations to senior/executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience auditing AI/ML solutions and emerging technology.
• Knowledge of agentic AI risks and controls.
• Hands-on experience using Python for audit analytics or testing.
• Experience with data visualization and audit data analytics.
• Professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM is a plus.
• Experience within a large or highly regulated organization is preferred.
