UPMC is hiring a full-time Systems Analyst-Intermediate (Application Support) to join their team. This opportunity offers a balance of work life and an excellent total rewards package. The Analyst will help support UPMC Enterprise Applications including Banyan (Mobile Heartbeat). Job Location: Hybrid - 1-2 Days a week on site at UPMC Quantum Hot Metal Street in Pittsburgh, PA. On-Site and Travel required.

Job Hours: 40 Hours. Daylight. 7/8AM-3/4PM.

Purpose:

Under the general direction of the management team and senior staff, the Systems Analyst - Intermediate is responsible for ensuring the stability, usability, and continuous improvement of the Banyan (Mobile Heartbeat) application. This role combines technical troubleshooting, business analysis, and user support to maintain reliable operations and deliver high-quality service to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Application Incident Management - Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve application issues for Banyan. Perform root-cause analysis and document findings for future prevention.

Changes & Support - Support deployment activities, validate releases in test environments, and participate in regression testing. Able to triage and resolve level 1 and level 2 support issues.

Requirements Gathering - Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, translate them into functional requirements, and collaborate with vendors.

Vendor Coordination - Collaborate with third-party vendor (Mobile Heartbeat) for escalated issues, enhancements, and product roadmap discussions.

Continuous Improvement - Identify recurring issues, propose process improvements, and contribute to automation or optimization initiatives.

Documentation - Validate and maintain end-user instruction, networking diagrams, and support documentation.

Project Management - Create and contribute to project tasks and milestones. Update all project team members and time tracking tools accordingly.

Training - Support operations with end user training for GoLives, support documentation, and application education.

Data Confidentiality/Security- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and data as set forth per UPMC policy.

Perform other duties as assigned - This may involve other applications or tasks that the team supports.

Qualifications:

Typically has 2+ years' experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience.

Knowledge or Experience with networking standards and troubleshooting. (preferred)

Knowledge or Experience with mobile devices and/or communication platforms. (preferred)

Highly driven and self-motivated to meet expectations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being accurate and reliable.

Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts (SDLC). Applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to IT work within a UPMC department or function.

This position requires participation in a standby status rotation with our team members. The team supports 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The frequency of rotation varies based upon the number of colleagues in the rotation.
