Location: Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our quality engineering function. This role is responsible for the development of cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) to meet UAT and production validation requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CI/CD pipeline environments, server operating systems, and cloud virtualization technologies for Infrastructure as a Service enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) for UAT and production validation.
- Work within a CI/CD pipeline controlled environment using standard IDEs and tools.
- Perform technical requirements and use case analysis for testing and test automation objectives.
- Develop new and execute existing IaC test code, evaluating results against acceptance criteria.
- Identify, create, and maintain records of discovered bugs.
- Manage server operating systems and configurations for both Windows and Linux environments.
- Utilize infrastructure hosting components and cloud virtualization technology.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with QA Automation.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Node.js, TypeScript, and REST API development.
- Experience with Hashicorp Terraform/Vault, Kafka, key-value stores, and service mesh/middleware.
- Strong experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and Git branching strategies.
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, TypeScript, or Node.js for automation.
- Familiarity with test automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, or ALM Octane.
- Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their DevOps services.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with Jira for task and issue tracking.
- Experience with service validation and testing in enterprise environments.
